Gata, a trecut 1 decembrie, lasam deoparte toate cele aflate deja in lucru si pregatim Craciunul. Pentru inceput, trei perne decorative, lucrate simplu, caci materialele sunt absolut superbe si nu m-am indurat sa le tai prea mult.

Ok, the 1st of December has passed, so it's time to put aside those projects still in progress and to prepare Christmas decorations. First, three decorative pillows, made in a simple style, because the fabrics are gorgeous and I just couldn't cut them more.

I still think about the use of white and silver decorations for our Christmas tree... Although it's a nice ideea, it's not our family style. We much more prefer to use our usual Christmas decorations, which are colorful and are linked to so many things in our life. We still have old decorations from our parents' childhood, in the '40s, decorations from our own childhood (we made them in the '70s, in school years). Some other decorations are linked to special moments (our daughter's birth, even though she is not born in winter), or to beautiful long trips, or to our dreams about our future. So, I think we will stick to colors and to our memories, which will connect us again with our grandparents and childhood and all the crazy things we did then (not that we stopped doing crazy things now!) :-))). And maybe some white, hand-made Christmas decorations will find their place among them.
